Joan A. Rhodes, Associate Professor, is a member of the Virginia Commonwealth University graduate faculty, where she serves as coordinator of the early childhood and elementary education programs. Rhodes teaches courses in reading intervention, instructional theory and writing. She served as the principal investigator on grant-funded projects totaling over $9.7M. Her current research interests focus on instructional intervention in international literacy clinics, technology integration and human trafficking prevention.
