FAQ
Q: What does the registration fee include?
A: The registration fee helps to offset the cost of the facility, audiovisual equipment, coffee, breaks, the speakers and their travel expenses.
Q: Are any meals included?
A: Coffee and a light continental breakfast are offered each morning. Beverages and coffee will be available during afternoon breaks.
Q: Can I register for sessions in advance?
A: Session attendance is first-come, first-served. Once the agenda is finalized, attendees will be sent a survey to determine the sessions that are of greatest interest. If attendees were permitted to register for sessions in advance, someone would need to be stationed at the entrance of each session to ensure only those registered were able to attend. VSLA is a non-profit with limited resources that are not able to staff each session.

A: Cancellation requests must be emailed to amanda@sswmeetings.com by February 8, 2025. A $75 processing fee will be deducted from the amount paid. Refunds are not available after February 8. Cancelled registrations may be transferred to another attendee until February 24, 2025.

Q: What is the best way to travel to the conference?
A: It depends on your starting point; however, be sure to check Amtrak.com if you live near a train station. Amtrak’s rates are very reasonable and the train station in Roanoke is across the street from the conference venue.
Q: Will all sessions be recorded for later viewing?
A: Yes, selected sessions will be recorded and will be available for viewing two weeks post conference. Viewing instructions will be emailed to conference participants.
