Yvette Manns, M.Ed., is a nationally recognized language and literacy specialist, former classroom teacher, and educational consultant. With over 16 years of combined research and applied practice in literacy, Yvette has dedicated her career to transforming literacy practices within schools, districts, and nonprofit organizations. Her current work integrates the foundational components of literacy, emphasizing instructional strategies in phonemic awareness, phonics, interactive read-alouds, and fostering student language development in the classroom.

Yvette collaborates with schools, districts, and nonprofits across the country, specializing in data-driven, responsive literacy frameworks that align with the Science of Reading while addressing the diverse needs of learners. Her approach is rooted in the belief that literacy is the key to unlocking a child’s potential. Yvette is internationally recognized as the author of the Phonics Read-Alouds series and the founder of National Schwa Day. Through her training initiatives, Yvette empowers educators to create learning environments rich in systematic, explicit, and inclusive instruction as well as language and literacy opportunities for every student.
